The Valencia orange is a sweet orange cultivar named after the famed oranges in Valencia, Spain.
Valencia does well in warm and dry climates. Grafting with lemons makes it hardy and matures within a short time. They grow in a wide range of soils varying from sandy soil to those high in clay. Ph range of 5.5 to 6.0 is ideal. An acre is planted between 200 and 250 seedlings depending on the spacing.
